Designed specifically to treat more than 200 typical contaminants found in tap water and other freshwater sources. Our unique black Berkey® elements are made from an exclusive mixture of media and are supported by independent third -party tests. The formulation of the Black Berkey® elements was tested by accredited third -party laboratories to exceed the standard NSF/ANSI standard 53.
The Black Berkey® elements have been tested and confirmed to eliminate or considerably reduce the contaminants listed below:
Trihalomethanes Even eliminated up to non -detectable laboratory limits: Bromodichloromethane, Bromoform, Chloroform, Dibromochloromethane.
Inorganic minerals Even eliminated up to non -detectable laboratory limits: chloramine, chloride, residual chlorine (total residual chlorine), free chlorine
