For nearly two years, an Administrative Shutdown Order (SSURO) imposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has limited the operations of Berkey International in the United States, impacting the distribution of certain products.
Recently, Berkey management met with the DOJ (US Department of Justice) and the new director of theEPA – Region 8. These discussions were productive and the brand anticipates a favorable outcome with a hoped-for resolution in August. This could mean the lifting of the SSURO or require a few more negotiation steps.
