Black Berkey Filter Elements
Our unique Black Berkey elements are made from a proprietary blend of media designed to work synergistically and target specifically contaminants, far surpassing the reduction capabilities of filters composed solely of activated carbon or ceramic materials. They are backed by independent third-party testing.
Performance and Economy
The gold standard in gravity water filtration, genuine Black Berkey elements are capable of reducing more contaminants and have a longer life than virtually any other filter element on the market, representing an economical choice, costing just pennies per gallon of water filtered.
Contaminant Reduction Capabilities
Berkey systems equipped with Black Berkey elements significantly reduce trihalomethanes, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, VOCs, petroleum products, perfluorochemicals, rust, silt, sediment, radionuclides and more again.
Trust and Quality
Berkey systems are used every day in homes around the world by discerning consumers who trust the quality of Berkey systems to meet their drinking water needs.
Replacement Recommendations
We recommend replacing Black Berkey elements every 11,356 liters (22,712 liters for a set of 2 elements). Elements may require earlier replacement depending on inlet water quality.
