Recycle your EVA fountain consumables

The consumables of an EVA fountain (cartridge, ceramic, minerals) are made up of several materials. To avoid sorting errors, here is a simple and responsible method.

To remember:

Plastic → plastic waste bin / PMC / PMD if accepted (otherwise recycling center)
Remains inert and cannot be recycled → gray trash (residual household waste)
Find out from your local waste services
Options : potting possible (personal use)

1) Identify the materials

An EVA consumable may contain:

2) Where to throw each item?

A) The plastic parts

Plastic items can go in the bin plastic waste / PMC / PMD if your municipality accepts them. Otherwise, bring them recycling center.

The instructions vary depending on the territory: check with your local waste service.

B) The rest (inert, non-recyclable)

The used activated carbon, the ceramic and the minerals are materials inert and generally non-recyclable via classic sorting. In the absence of a dedicated channel, throw them into the gray trash can (residual household waste), or follow the recycling instructions if your municipality recommends it.

3) Option: potting (personal use)

Some people choose to reuse part of the filter media (mineral/activated carbon) in flower pots. This can be considered on a personal basis. In all cases, respect the local guidelines and handle with care.
