In the first group are plastics such as bisphenol A (BPA) and 1,1-dichloroethane (11-DCA), which can dissolve in water and pose a health hazard. The good news is that Black Berkey™ filters are capable of removing both types of plastics, ensuring optimal purification.
Additionally, with their effective filtration capacity over a range of 24 to 26 nanometers, these filters are also able to remove micro-plastics present in the form of tiny solid particles. In fact, these particles measure approximately 2.5 microns (or 2500 nanometers), which is much greater than the 24 nanometer filtration capacity of the Black Berkey™ filter. Once again, these filters prove to be reliable allies for quality purified water.
