Berkey® - Warranty Conditions
All products supplied by the company Sarl Monderma cosmetics benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by article L. 217-4 et seq. of the Consumer Code and the guarantee against hidden defects provided for in article 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code.
In the event of non-compliance of a product sold, it may be returned to the company Sarl Monderma cosmetics which will take it back, exchange it or reimburse it.
The stainless steel range filtration systems are guaranteed for 12 months, excluding taps. The Berkey light® system is guaranteed for 12 months.
Black Berkey® filters are covered by a two-year prorated warranty, calculated every six months, excluding gaskets and wing nuts.
PF-2 filter elements are guaranteed for 6 months. The Sport Berkey® filters as well as the filter bottle are guaranteed for 3 months. Other accessories are guaranteed for 6 months. The warranty period begins from the date the product is received by the original purchaser.
All complaints, requests for exchange, repairs or reimbursement require agreement from After-Sales Service Sarl Monderma Cosmetics.
Sarl Monderma cosmetics guarantees the products against defects in materials or manufacturing under normal conditions of use.
Sarl Monderma cosmetics cannot be held responsible for incidental or indirect damage caused to personal property, in particular by a defective unit, improper use, abusive use, accident or negligence. It is the purchaser's responsibility to prevent misuse of the system and to replace parts when, due to natural wear and tear, they must be replaced in order to receive warranty service.
This warranty will not apply to units which have been used for unintended purposes, which have been modified and which have resulted in its performance being impaired. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
To trigger the guarantee, the buyer must send a request by email to Fontaine-a-gravite@gmail.com, indicating their reference and date of order, name, first name and the reason for their complaint. Once agreement has been obtained, Sarl Monderma cosmetics will communicate to the buyer the return conditions, and will send by email a label to print for the handling of the package. Product returns are free of charge for the duration of the warranty.
The following actions automatically void warranty coverage:
- Allow one of the Berkey® filter elements to freeze.
- Use water from a dehumidifier with one of the Black Berkey® purification elements for daily use.
- Breaking or damaging a Berkey® element following a fall.
- Cause system failure due to improper assembly or maintenance.
- Forgetting to remove the Black Berkey® filters from the system before transporting or moving the system could cause the rods to break.
- Performing a red color test with the Berkey PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters connected. Berkey® PF-2™ Fluoride and Arsenic Reduction Filters must be removed before performing a red stain test in order to remain in compliance with the six month warranty on these filters.
- Use water from a salt water softening system. This action risks clogging the Berkey® purification elements or causing the stainless steel to rust.
- Do not use Berkey® equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations or instructions.
