Cleaning the mineral basket is carried out when a green fuzz appears on the top (coming from excessive exposure to the light of the fountain).
For fountains with a magnetic system, follow these steps:
- Open the trash and remove the white magnetic disk.
- Boil water with a tablespoon of coarse sea salt. Bring to a boil.
- Turn off the heat and put the minerals in boiling salted water.
- Leave it for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Then scrub the minerals under tap water.
- Rinse the basket and minerals under tap water.
- If you have a magnetic system, put the white disc back inside the basket.
- Put the basket back into the fountain.
