Should I clean the EVA filtration cartridge?
No. The ultimat EVA filtration cartridge cannot be cleaned. Once installed in your fountain, you no longer have to touch it until it is replaced.
Why not clean it?
The EVA cartridge is designed to operate continuously without intervention. Attempting to clean it could damage its filter structure and reduce its performance, or even render it unusable. Filtration occurs naturally by gravity — no intermediate maintenance is necessary.
When to replace the cartridge?
The maximum lifespan of an EVA cartridge is 6 months, regardless of the quantity of water filtered. We recommend replacing it as soon as you notice any of the following signs:
- The filtration rate slows significantly.
- An unusual taste or odor appears in the filtered water.
- 6 months have passed since the last installation.
