Should the EVA filtration cartridge be cleaned?
No. The ultimat EVA filtration cartridge cannot be cleaned. Once installed in your fountain, you no longer have to touch it until it is replaced.
Why not clean it?
The EVA cartridge is designed to operate continuously without intervention. Attempting to clean it could damage its filter structure and reduce its performance, or even render it unusable. Filtration occurs naturally by gravity — no intermediate maintenance is necessary.
When to replace the cartridge?
The maximum lifespan of an EVA cartridge is 6 months, regardless of the quantity of water filtered. We recommend replacing it as soon as you observe any of the following signs:
- The filtration rate slows down significantly.
- An unusual taste or odor appears in filtered water.
- 6 months have passed since the last installation.
💧 Tip: Note the date of installation of your cartridge so as not to exceed the 6 month deadline.
