Fontaine Eva - The proper cleaning of the mineral basket - 5 to 10 mins

Cleaning the mineral basket is done when a green fuzz appears on top (from excessive exposure to fountain light).

For fountains with a magnetic system, follow these steps:

1. Open the trash and remove the white magnetic disk.
2. Boil water with a tablespoon of coarse sea salt. Bring to a boil.
3. Turn off the heat and put the minerals in the boiling salted water.
4. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes.
5. Next, scrub the minerals under tap water.
6. Rinse the trash can and minerals under tap water.
7. If you have a magnetic system, place the white disk back inside the trash can.
8. Put the basket back in the fountain.
